CorkBird is a place to find things to do, let others know what youre doing and to share content and experiences. In a way, its like the old bulletin boards you used to see on college campuses or on main street of your town but digitized and with the power turned way up.

At its core, CorkBird is a feed curated by your geography. What you see is what is happening around you. It’s driven by you and the people, businesses and organizations right in your neighborhood. We made it hyper-local so you can better connect to your community and not only learn what is going on right around the corner but get out and be a part of it. We made it open so that everyone could be an influencer -- post on CorkBird and your ability to help out the restaurant or business you love or let others know about your organization isnt limited by your friends or followers. And we made it relevant -- posts disappear after a few days so you only see what matters now.

POSTING

Posting is for everyone. Every post should be about something that people in your community can get out and do. Just take or add a picture, tell everyone exactly where its happening, give it a snazzy title and tell folks a little bit about it. The more info you provide the more likely people are to get out there and do it!

If you are a restaurant, boutique or other local business that wants to get people through the door, post so that the people who are best able to come through the door know about your business. If you want to tell people about a sale or offer a discount or special to drive foot traffic, do it!

If you are a leader of a church or other community organization and you want people to know about your services or events, post about them!

If you are a member of the community and you want people to know about the restaurants you love, your amazing Pilates instructor, or your favorite bands gig at the bar around the corner so that you can help them be successful, post about them!

CORKING and COMMENTING

Corking is how you save posts on CorkBird and let the person who posted know you loved their post. Touch the little pushpin and the post is saved to your personal Cork Board. It’s a great way for you to make sure you don’t miss out on some fun (remember, unless you Cork it, it will disappear) and to keep track of your favorite places and things in your community.

You can also comment on posts. Once you expand the post, tell people you are going, share positive experiences you have had or ask questions. The more engaged the community is in the post, the more likely it is to be seen!
